Today I made time to take some pics and load them into my album. The
first three are of the blue jacket I completed for myself a couple of
months ago.

http://s142.photobucket.com/albums/r...=PICT0199A.jpg

The next ones are of the jumper I made for my son. The first jumper had
to be unpicked as it was too heavy for a Texan winter.

Jim's jumper is actually a pale corn/bamboo colour but the pics don't show
the true colour.

Thank you Donna. The jacket took me a couple of months as I was still
having problems with my right hand at the time - I couldn't work for more
than about 10-15 minutes at any one time. :-( Last week I saw the
specialist again and he says he thinks the problem is scar tissue which
should settle down in time. I go back to see him in another 3 months.

The design for Jim's sweater is a made up one using the "Tree of Life"
stitch from traditional Aran knitting. There are only the two panels on
the front of it and all the rest is plain. It was a change for me to knit
one with a set in sleeve instead of a raglan.

Got you e-mail and will reply (hopefully) later this week.

The jacket is beautiful! So much work! You should be proud.

I didn't get to see the sweater. Kept getting a prompt saying the album
didn't exist. Ah, the joys of cyberspace.

This jumper is in stocking stitch with set in sleeves and just two pattern
panels running up the front. The panel is called Tree of Life and is a
traditional Aran stitch.
