So it is your birthday. Rats. I didn't think to look at my list.
Hope you have had a lovely day so far, Polly, and have a great evening.

Karen, you're good at that, you know? However, I love the pretty florals,
love the pattern, love the colors and it is My Birthday so she just must
send it to me. Nevermind the friend she made it for. Polly

Love It! You can send it to me. For your own peace of mind, you
understand.

Ah, yes, I see your problem Marijke. The colors are just too cheerful
and bright; the quilting stitches are way too neat and even; and that
coffee backing is just so ... I don't know ... appropriate for a coffee
lover? So, of course you can't give it to your friend. But, since you've
never met me, you *could* send it to me instead ;-)

I finished made a quilt last week for a friend, sort of a thank you for

her a quilt I don't like. I don't like it at all.

I've made quilts before that I didn't like, but usually once they're
quilted and bound, they look ok, but this one just isn't doing that.

Should I give it?

Well... I love it, so give it to me and I'll pass it on for you! That
way she gets the quilt and you don't feel sad at giving a friend
something you don't like!

Marijke,
Yes, I see it now. As the other gals said, that center square could
use a "lift". A raspberry appliqué would really clinch the design.

BTW, I still like it as is, but something to fill the center would really
help. Like I said before, I don't hear "quilt speak" either. :-(

the colors and the pattern too. Linda

Ok, thanks to you, I do feel better about it. I may do something with
the middle square - I haven't quite figured it out yet, but you've
convinced me that it's not hiddeous. ;-) I made another mystery quilt a
couple of years ago and I didn't like that one either, although some
people really raved over it and I honestly can't recall who ended up
going home with it!

thanks again,
Marijke

Marijke, it's lovely! If you feel uncomfortable giving it to your friend,
I'd be delighted to give it a home!!!
