So it is your birthday. Rats. I didn't think to look at my list.
Hope you have had a lovely day so far, Polly, and have a great evening. .. In message , Polly Esther writes Karen, you're good at that, you know? However, I love the pretty florals, love the pattern, love the colors and it is My Birthday so she just must send it to me. Nevermind the friend she made it for. Polly "Queen of Squishies" RisingStars @ KarenTucker.com wrote in message news:wac3f.428337$x96.65697@attbi_s72... She will love it, but if you cannot overcome your doubts, let me just say I Love It! You can send it to me. For your own peace of mind, you understand. Karen, Queen of Squishies -- Best Regards pat on the hill |

Ah, yes, I see your problem Marijke. The colors are just too cheerful
and bright; the quilting stitches are way too neat and even; and that coffee backing is just so ... I don't know ... appropriate for a coffee lover? So, of course you can't give it to your friend. But, since you've never met me, you *could* send it to me instead ;-) Anne in CA annerudolph AT comcast DOT net "It's not having what you want; it's wanting what you've got." -- Sheryl Crow http://community.webshots.com/user/annerudolph3 Marijke wrote: I finished made a quilt last week for a friend, sort of a thank you for stuff she's done for me. Marijke,
Yes, I see it now. As the other gals said, that center square could use a "lift". A raspberry appliqué would really clinch the design. Marlys in Indiana BTW, I still like it as is, but something to fill the center would really help. Like I said before, I don't hear "quilt speak" either. :-( "Marijke" wrote in message .. . Ok, thanks to you, I do feel better about it. I may do something with
the middle square - I haven't quite figured it out yet, but you've convinced me that it's not hiddeous. ;-) I made another mystery quilt a couple of years ago and I didn't like that one either, although some people really raved over it and I honestly can't recall who ended up going home with it! thanks again, Marijke Marijke wrote: I finished made a quilt last week for a friend, sort of a thank you for stuff she's done for me. Marijke, it's lovely! If you feel uncomfortable giving it to your friend,
