Default crochet question

hello all! i'm wanting to crochet a purse, but only in one piece. i'm
making a flat panel, 6 or so inches, and then increasing on both sides
to make the sides, then decreasing again to make the other side-6
inches as well. my problem is this-one of the increased sides is going
to have an extra row, right? going back and forth on the beginning and
ending rows of the side parts will make them uneven. is there a way to
do this correctly? anyone know? thanks in advance!!!!! bj

well basically i attempted this already. i crochet a shape that is in
essence a "t" shape. 10 rows of 10 stitches, then increase on both
sides of this part about 10 stitches on each side, about 7 or so rows.
i then attempted to decrease, starting on one row. after i did a few
rows of the 2nd decreased section, i noticed that one side of the
increased part had an extra row and was wider than the other side.
it's actually a box, if you can picture it. i want to be able to sew
up the sides to make a one piece box, instead of making at least 3
pieces-front, back, and sides.

You should remember that one of the Benefits of Crochet over
Knitting , is that you don`t Have to go back and forth to get with
your [uncut] thread to another part, there is nothing wrong in cutting
the thread, and starting to work with your needle on the Other
side ,,,
Another solution is that YOU CAN play with the `Height` of your Row
By using a different stitch ,
you can start a row by chain st, that increase it to DC etc,,,,
play a bit with your work to gain a bit more experience .try making
some diferent forms ,, [ like a Square a triangle etc.]
