Some OT, some not. A little venting, a little beadmaking talk....

Watch out if you have kitties! They quickly learn how to open lever-style
doors.... I'm sure some poochies would have no trouble, either.

We don't. Sometimes when 9yo dd is describing her new favorite TV commercial
(the parts of life we all fast forward thru), I look at her and say

"You're babbling." Now she's able to get a grip on herself sometimes and say:
"Mom, I'm babbling, aren't I?"

Yes, dear.

No cats, no way. I'm somewhat allergic, and have NO interest in the constant
battle with hairballs (organized or otherwise). We're at "maybe" on a dog,
but it would probably be a small, shorthaired variety. (I'm thinking mini
greyhound or a Jack Russell.)

And these guys were way over the line approaching you at night
like that. They need to be called attention to.

I agree, but I'm just too tired and dealing with colder weather (i.e. pain
increase, "STEVE") to do so.

You know, another thing about the lever style door handles (yes, that's the
word I couldn't remember) is that they are very easy to change back and
forth with door knobs.. That's about the simplest example I could think of.
Mainly I mentioned it because it makes a very big difference for ease of
access, with very little effort. And because it has gotten more popular, it
has come way down in price. If we install handicap friendly hardware, etc,
we make it more accessible for others wanting to install it.

And like I say, we are likely to need it ourselves one day. If we're lucky.

Yeah. I like the way they look better, too. And you can open a door even if
your hands are full. Or covered with something slippery.
