Default any interest?

Would anyone here be interested in me putting together a simple
directory? Does anyone still want to send out squishies, or is that
something of the past? Hug quilts seem to be going by the wayside,
also, I noticed. Lifestyles are changing, commitments are increasing,
etc. Any thoughts on a directory?

It's a generous idea Karen, but I honestly think we can contact if we
want to. I was just thinking this morning that I wanted to send an
e-mail to someone whose address on the newsgroup is a 'nonsense' one.
What to do? I thought well I could just post a message on the newsgroup
asking her to contact me first. Similarly with addresses, we can do the
same thing. Squishies were lovely; but over here, anyway, fabric is now
so expensive, a squishy would be probably reserved for a special
occasion and, there again, we could ask the person to e-mail or ask
someone who would be likely to know the address, if we didn't already
know it from a previous directory or from regular contact.
I honestly don't think you should put yourself through it. I think this
particularly as so many are now on Facebook and the group is split. I,
and the others who will not be attaching themselves to Facebook, will
find ways and means.
In any case, there were always those who didn't join in with the
Directory anyway. It was never 100% of 'membership' - and ways had to
be found to contact those folk.

I may be speaking way off the general line here, I have no means of
knowing - other than to wait with interest to hear what others say.

Thank you for the thought Karen - whatever the result of this question.

Unfortunately there don't seem to be any takers Karen.
When I first posted on this group squishies and hugs were a big part of this
group, but as you said 'Lifestyles are changing'.
I like a few others will not be joining Facebook so will have to find
alternate ways to 'squish' people.

I have always liked to join in the hug quilts when my schedule/energy/
stars align. [Heck I have organized and delivered a few!]
Also, squishies are fun to send out, as are cards, etc. I don't do
facebook, and rely on the directories from the past.
Sorry if this is a disjointed response, I would support a simple
directory if there are big changes from the last one.
