San Diego Shops
I am going to San Diego in April for my niece's wedding and want to visit
the needlepoint shops I've heard so much about. I know one of them is called Needle Nook of La Jolla at 7719 Fay Ave in La Jolla and found their website, but I seem to remember that there was another shop on the same street. The web yellow pages shows Needlepoint of La Jolla at 7710 Fay Ave, La Jolla, but I can't find a web address for them. I seem to remember when the fires hit San Diego a year or so ago, that either one of the shops or one of the shops owners home was burned out, but cannot remember which or what it was. Are both shops still in business and are they worth the drive to La Jolla? I know it's not that far, but we will probably be "entertaining" my parents on the Friday before the wedding and I don't know if I can convince them to go. My husband is no problem, he always takes me to shops when we travel. Any info is appreciated. Marianne T. |

They are both there, across the street from each other as you
have heard. Needlepoint of La Jolla does not have a web site. They are both absolutely worth the trip. Very little overlap -- they each carry different canvases and fibers. There are a couple of other shops in San Diego -- last year I visited each and every one and these two were head and shoulders above the others. Thanks for the info.
Are the others in San Diego worth a trip if I can carve out the time? Marianne T. wrote in message ghton.edu... There are a couple of other shops in San Diego -- last year I visited each and every one and these two were head and shoulders above the others. |
