I haven't been keeping up with the group for some time...so i'm sorry
if it's been talked about recently....

is there any people here that use the knifty knitter?
I got a round set and a long set for my daughter shortlly before
christmas and she loves working with them...
I also tried it and made hat and a scarf and a snowman with a hat,
with the round ones.....I think they are neat and work up fast

I have a set but haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. Maybe I'll
have to give it a try.
Thanks for the reminder.

my 6 year old has been using them for over a year. he has
problems with fine motor control & knitting on the frame is
great therapy. he's made hats & we both worked on a scarf for
Grandma (which she loves & says gets her loads of
compliments).
i like them for making scarves, because unless i'm doing a
pattern or color work, scarves are boooooooring they are
much faster, so i can get finished before terminal boredom
sets in.

So is the kniffty knitter a big board with nails ????

sew skirts sweaters ponchos from them ,,,

If you get the long ones instead of the rounds....they do double
thickness without being a tube. My daughter has been using those
for lapghans to give to the nursing home where i work.
She works up strips on them and we sew them together. Then we just
crochet a nice edge all around.

Also....since you always use 2 strands of yarn together to work on them,
they are great to use up yarn leftovers for afghans / lapghans.

Mirjam,
The Knifty Knitter is made out of heavy duty plastic and is round like
an embroidery hoop with knobs sticking up (like nails would). You
wrap your yarn around the knobs and use a special tool to bring the
loops over the knobs. They also come in a straight design.

Default Any knifty knitter users? --- anyone know of a good sourcefor....

Hi,

I'm new here, but just got a set of knifty knitter hoops a couple of
months ago and have been having so much fun with them. Allows me to
knit and create things (scarves, hats, lap robes, shawls,
blankets/afghans, etc) quickly without ever having learned how to knit
using regular knitting needles. I love them!!!

Now, my question is does anyone here know of a good reputable source to
mail order yarn, knitting looms, knitting supplies, crochet supplies,
etc? Or just a good reputable source for mail order for crafters?

If so, would you be willing to share that source?

Thanks so much to all of you and blessings to you all!
