Default sewing progress and woes

Well, I fixed the tension problem on my sewing machine....but good. Tuesday
evening after work I decided I was going to make good headway on quilting
the quilt for the wedding. The tension kept fading in and out on me, thread
kept breaking. Seemed to me the tension disks might have a thread jammed
amongst them. Every so carefully I took apart the tension disk mechinisim,
carefully laying them right side up and in the order they came off. The
last few are held together by a spring loaded wire. Boing!!! Disks and
washers flying everywhere and of course after I cleaned everything they
wouldn't go back they way they come off. LOL Got frustrated so I decided
I'd go play bingo and I won enough money to be able to buy myself a very
decent sewing machne. As soon as I am able to go shopping and check some
out!!.

I do have a second machine so today I finished my outfit for the wedding,
except for the hemming, made the ring bearer pillow (actually 2....diff
styles), and finished off the duvet cover, which is the same fabric as the
backing of the quilt. My second machine, I haven't hardly used it before,
and I"m learning the feel of it. It's a very fussy machine. It has a
horizontal thread spool holder and learning the hard way, it makes a
difference which way the spool is inserted, but only for cotton thread,
polyester doesn't matter.

The only sewing I have left is the quilt......... top is stitched, and I
have to pick out most of my stippling on the borders and redo, add the
binding. But the pressure has been reduced greatly with the other necessary
things done.

Will post pictures when the bindnig is on.......hopefuly before next
weekend!!!!!

Ann........who is back to sewing (break over)
