i was wondering, are you making your own clasps? i prefer them handmade,
but i have never tried to make anything but S clasps. is somebody
willing to share an idea about making other kinds of clasps? i would be
grateful

Nurturing doesn't end at birth: breastfeed, co-sleep, babywear.

There is a very fine line between a hobby and mental illness.

I don't think this is off-topic...

I make all my own clasps... Made a lot of toggle ones recently. I also make
hook & eye, and fancy S clasps... Working on finishing up my first one in a
box-style.

What sort are you wanting to make?
Do you solder at all?

im not sure what does the word solder mean, sorry but if it has
something with heating metal parts and connecting them that way, then i
dont solder

about clasps, ive made couple of hook & eye, but mostly S clasps (some
you can see at http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/8641/kopce1as.jpg)

but they seem boring and not fancy at all. it would be nice to make
toggle clasp using only wire, or maybe polymer clay. i was just
wondering if someone has some good idea for nice clasps

First of all, there's no way a discussion of clasps is Off Topic on a
beading site.

If your concern has to do with customizing and fancying up clasps, check out
Becki's site. I can't find her clasp tutorial, but the basic idea is to
make a hook clasp and add matching beads to make it an element of design.
Here's an example (which as she says is not her prettiest piece).

Any one here have the link to the clasp tutorial?

http://www.polymerclaycentral.com/pcc_bangle4.html - Here are
instructions on making a fancy "pelican", or sometimes called a
"swan", clasp. They're great fun to make, although I make mine
backwards. I start with the bottom spiral, then make the hook or neck
at the top. The instructions are written by Connie Fox, and she has
other tutorials on her website at
http://www.conniefox.com/Education/Education.htm that you might like
to look at.

Depending on the work, I from time to time like to use a button, or a
beaded button,

Take care,
