Default OT - Thank you (about our loss of Buffy)

I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes about our loss
of our Buffy. She was very much loved and will be missed, even though we do
know that she is much better off now than when she was in pain near the end.

Special *hugs* to Bernadette for the loss of your Lady who I am sure is
happy with your son Edward now, just as Buffy is happy with my parents....
and to Melinda who has an impending loss of your Winnie, I'm sure she and
Buffy make friends and enjoy their new-found freedom from pain and be able
to run and play like they used to. And Katherine, it is hard to let go...
but I'm sure when the time comes for Wooly, you will help her on her journey
by giving her loving pats and talk to her for comfort.

Thank you everyone who gave me the url for Rainbow Bridge. That is such a
comforting page, and Matthew liked it too. I'm sure it helped ease some of
his pain in his heart about losing Buffy. He went out yesterday and buried
her quietly by himself... told me after it was over. I went outside with
Casper (actually I went outside with him *everytime* yesterday... he just
slowly walked out, did what he needed to do and came back in... no playing
and running, no barking at neighbour dogs) and we walked up to the back
fence where Buffy is buried. Casper went over and sniffed at her grave,
looked at me, and walked back over to me. ( One of the later times we
went out, I noticed that something had dug a hole in the dirt of Buffy's
grave... it wasn't Casper as he had no dirt on his paws and he only went
outside when I was with him... so Matthew had to go out and put some
branches on top of her grave in hopes that it will keep whatever did that
away until the ground hardens up properly.

Thank you all, once again!

*hugs*
Gemini
