Ok - it's a small R romance/epic fantasy. Really interesting characters who
grow and change with the story line. Nothing happens that doesn't advance
the story line. And while it is a love story, it's not primarily a love
story between two people; love of family and love of country factor in as
well with a decent amount of magic.

I was really happy to tuck myself into this one. Of my last two library
runs, I grabbed an anthology with a "writer" my cousin had recommended in
it. Crappy plots and worse writing. Two more that just were too "chick lit"
for me right now.
