Ok, folks - how does one get to r.c.t.n.p.?(I presume the p stands for
pictures. I've searched on google, and tried to find it listed in
newsgroups.

I would like to see what everybody is excited about, and I feel like I'm
missing out!

Finally catching a break - and they're all just great. I really like the
mermaid box! How's the next mermaid coming - have you started the whimsical
one?

not yet...the next one is in progress: the "Corragio" one. It's a BIG
project! http://www.scarlet-letter.com/rsdesc...p/coraggio.htm

I've got enough of the top half done to recognize all the motifs, LOL!
In other words, outlines of leaves, but not filled in. One rampant lion
done, not the other. Tonight I hope to finish the border (the viney one)
to the bottom of the right side.

the whimsical one is awhile off. Though she'd make a cute box lid, too!
Hmmm, now you've got me thinking/planning/itching...

Sometimes I feel like Lady MacBeth. But instead of "out, out damned
spot!" it's "out, out, damned project idea!"

Yes - huge and gorgeous.

Yup - that would. Or one of those pillow things.

Uh huh. Darn it. Working on my idea for the finishing of the coffee house
piece - something that can hand "softly" in the breakfast room - where it's
not too near the stove. My LNS owner/friend did point out to me that it was
an easy piece to stitch and if it gets yucky in some time, I could always
redo it - since usually pieces in the kitchen area we frame - but, this just
doesn't call to me that way.

I'm just starting the first band of double running in Love & Wisdom.
Looking pretty good. But, darn that silk likes to tangle a bit. Did the
row of double cross-stitch that borders the double running, and after
finishing noticed about 1/4 across, on the back, a little tangle so that
there is a loose little loop of thread - not big. But, I think I'll show it
to Donna - I'm afraid that my anal self is now going to rip it out and redo
because I fear that it will loosen on the front. OTOH, that stitch really
locks in (basically the first leg is an over 2 / then you go back 2 thread
as if to start the crossing leg on top, but instead it's 2 by 4 (down 2,
over 4) \, then back 2 thread on the bottom and the over 2 / again.
Finishes with an extra \ over 2. Looks kind of like an arrow running across
the linen.

Maybe do it like an oversized ornament? I did that recently with a gift
piece that was about 8" X 12". Turned out really nicely, too...with
cardboard in the middle, and cording around the edge, and a cord hanger
on top.
