Default Link new Ethnic Fiber Art site

Finally - at long last, my new web site is online! Please use the following
link to get to the site: www.ethnicfiberart.com

On the site you will find:

Descriptions and photos of the Ethnic techniques I have studied in depth
(under the "portfolio" button.) The writeups contain some cultural
background material about the technique and what I know of the history.
The portfolio has pages discussing the following: Norwegian Hardanger,
Japanese Temari, Japanese Kogin, Swedish Weaving, Swedish Sollerosom,
Yugoslavian Weaving and Swedish Naversom.

The "techniques" button uses a database that briefly - very briefly - tells
a little about other ethnic techniques that I've heard about, but haven't
had the time to study in depth. There are also a few pictures of projects I
have stitched along the way.

One of the most interesting facts I have discovered in reading about various
Ethnic groups is how similar the needleworking heritage is. True, different
names are given to various stitches, but if you look closely at the
structure of the stitches, they are identical. Then too, many design shapes
are found across the cultures - the eight pointed star, the labyrinth, and
the tree of life. It has made me realize that we are indeed, one big
family.

Enjoy! And Happy New Year to All!

Phyllis, I bookmarked your website for reference. I hope you'll add Mola
and Indian mirror embroidery as time permits.

Phyllis, when you first wrote about your site yesterday, you wrote it
ethnicfiberart.com

So, I copied and pasted it, putting a "www." in front and got nowhere.

Then this morning, I tried just typing in exactly as you first gave it,
and got to your site.

Now I see you have a www in front, and when I clicked on the link, I
made it there just fine. Weird!

It probably wasn't there, which is why you couldn't get to it. She
did say when she first posted that the site wasn't online yet.
