My room is small and junky and crowded, but it is mine. There are some
photos at http://webpages.charter.net/jaccola/SewingRoom.html. The
photos are a few years old, but not much has changed. I did finish the
quilt on the design wall and I got a new Babylock serger a couple years
ago. I have my computer in the same room, so between the computer and
the sewing machine, I spend a lot of time in this room. The space for my
sewing machine is small, so when I am quilting anything larger than a
small baby quilt, I move out to the dining room.

So I am asking you to take a picture of your sewing area and upload it

picasa...) If you don't have a website -- post here and someone will
help you (or you can mail the pics to one of us and we'll upload them
for you).

Let's create a sewing space hop -- so when you have yours up -- just
post a link here! Add a short discussion here to supplement if you'd like.

Are you up for this? I'll plan to take my pics tomorrow (and you'll see
my huge mess!!)

I'm jealous, you have a stand alone embroidery machine!
It's on my want list,...

O.K. I got brave and took pictures of the good, the bad and the ugly.
Then I started to pick things up. It really isn't as bad as I thought.
I may actually have it organized before the guests arrive on
Thanksgiving :-)

Photos are on Flickr. I think that I made them public.

That is actually my husband's machine. He became jealous of all my
sewing machines and when we were at a show one time he just fell in love
with the embroidery machine. Like most of our stuff, it does not get
enough use but it is surely fun and useful when it does get used.

I'm up for the challenge as I recently cleaned my sewing rooom and
moved stuff around. Here are new pics:

http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...78822059amtylM

This room has a huge closet, with two doors and there's lots more
'stuff' in there than I could take a picture of, including a 'roll
around' folding cutting table and a bookshelf for my patterns and
sewing books.

If you look carefully you'll also be able to see my wonderful RCTQ hug
quilt, made by members of this great group to help me get through last
year's breast cancer treatments!

Sandy, I just moved a couple months ago and am slowly getting boxes
unpacked. Yesterday, my Hug Quilt got unpacked and is in it's place of
honor on my new red living room sofa. Just makes me feel good every time I
look at my Hug Quilt.

Oy. I just looked over at my sewing area and thought, no way would
I take a photo of that. But I love this thread and am getting good
ideas and some incentive.
Or maybe I could submit a photo of the various states of general
array,
disorganization and wasted space and QIs that I'm looking at now.
Maybe someday there'd be a reality show called Sewing Room
Makeover. I'd be a shoe-in. Wouldn't that be great?
