Default Help for cross stitch customer query

I got a telephone call late this morning from a woman who has looked all
over our area for:

A nice, no bigger than 8 x 10 cross stitch for framing - for a christening

Simple, like a cross, with not lots of words, maybe "God Bless" and then
room for the name of the child and the christening date.

She cannot find anything like this and found my shop in the yellow
pages. I offered to post here, she's not familiar with newsgroups.

Any help greatly appreciated, I'll pass it on to her.

Thanks a bunch.
Dianne

They Way of the Cross by Linda Gillum is very pretty. I dont know if it is
exactly what she is looking for but it is a beautiful cross done in shades of
blue edged in gold and surrounded by white flowers. There are no words but they
could be added. The design is done on a 12x15 piece of fabric but the design is
in a 7.5 by 10 frame..I will see if i can find a pic anywhere and get back
with you.

Thanks for all your troubles. I told her you gals here would come up
with something, and that it might take a day or two (or three).

A friend has a little piece (maybe 4"x6") that was
stitched for her daughter's baptism by a friend or relative
(now gone, so I can't ask about the pattern). Still, it
was just a little shell motif (and maybe a cross?) with
some text (name, date, location, maybe a little saying).
If all else fails, maybe a nice alphabet chart and a
shell and/or cross motif might allow her to put something
together herself.

Best wishes,
Ericka

Dianne,
I don't know if this may help or not, but Vicki Schofield has a website
titled A Stitch & A Prayer. There are some free charts that might come in
handy for your customer. I stitched up the "Christ Is Risen" for my
Catechism instructor. The item number for it was S&P 001C. Although I have
the chart saved on my computer, I cannot find it on her website. You may
have to email her and see if she still has it available for download.

This might be something.... it's really a birth announcement, but it has a
christening gown in it, and you could just put the christening date, in
place of the date of birth.
