Default old sewing machine

I acquired an old sewing machine in a cabinet when my father passed away. I
can't find anything online about it. Has anyone ever heard of a Holiday
Sewing Machine? The metal plates on it only say:
Holiday
Model ST
Deluxe
Made in Japan

Any help would be appreciated.

It's at least 54 years old. I'm assuming that my dad or his first wife got
it as a wedding present. I will get a picture of it and post it on my
website, maybe that will help. It's a copper color, has a belt on the right
side that runs the needle and is in a brown wood cabinet. The whole thing
is huge. I don't have the exact dimensions, but I can get those too.

Because of the two-tone coloring, I'd guess that it is post WW2, but not
by much.

My old machine is from 1949 and is an ugly grey and heavy iron. (Wards).
I think yours is newer by a couple of years. But I am no expert!

Looks like a holiday model by Deluxe. Try nosing around there.

That cabinet is not original to the machine. Machine probably
came in a pressboard kind of case and later dropped into that cabinet.
Not sure if Deluxe is a brand or just one of the badge machines
made post war.

The cabinet looks like it started life as a treadle cabinet or maybe one
of the very early electric SM.

I emailed Ron at A1 sewing machine and he said that it indeed is a badged
machine. Can you tell me what that means? Would this particular machine be
worth anything? How do I find out how old it is?
