Default Cerex brand interfacing

I have been trying for three days to find some information about
this. I've Googled, Google Grouped, and Froogled. Other than
Monsanto (apparently the registered trademark of Cerex), which I also
searched, zip is what I get.

There is an auction on eBay I'm interested in. It is for 18" x 100
yards of very, very lightweight polyester interfacing. Auction does
not say whether it is woven or not.

The seller also says it is suitable for pattern tracing, which is
what I am after, as I am running out of the 40 yards of non-woven
Pellon 910. (Just remembered that I bought the Pellon nearly three
years ago and didn't report how it worked for me - Cea had told me to
report....sorry it's soooo late!....it works very well for pattern
tracing).

Here is the auction so you can look at it and hopefully you kind
souls (with way more experience than I have) can tell me if it is
indeed suitable. I'm not in a hurry, as it seems to be offered often.

I will continue searching for information (later today. bedtime now,
it's 2:23 a.m. central) but I appreciate what help I may receive.

Thank you very much!

Try googling for Cerex and Monsanto. Apparently it's their trademark
for a spunbonded nylon, not poly -- lower melting point than poly,
should you hit it with an iron. They say various types are made for
quilt backings and carpet pads, among others.

There are recent reports of "Carriff Sewing Fabric" or "Carriff Soil
Separator Paper" (spun bondend polypropylene used for french drains and such)
for pattern tracing. I haven't tried it myself, but it's apparently
spunbonded polypropylene, and a 24"x300 ft roll is about $30. Comes wider,
too, iirc.
