Default Voile is wonderful

I do lots of appliqué on crib quilts. Lots. Tonight I'm stitching Darcy
Ashton's "Grandma's Bunnies". The bunnies seemed to call for 30's repro. I
didn't want to waste my repro stash so I searched about for something to use
for their backing. There was a mile or so of soft, sheer, washed voile here
and I thought to give it a try. How lovely. It turned easily, added nearly
no weight, survived all the clips for bunny ears, tails and furry paws.
This isn't going to be a great moment in your quilting knowledge but do file
it away in your memory ( if any). Don't you love bunnies? and ... Happy
Easter and Passover and spring, that is, if you Ever get spring. Polly

What a good idea! Thanks! (Want pictures!)

On TV the other night, the weather lady explained our cold snowy
"spring": apparently the melting of the Arctic icecap has made it too
warm up there. Back when the weather was more normal, the temperature
difference helped keep the warmer winds and currents moving more or
less straight across the Atlantic so they reached us in Europe. Now
the flow swoops up farther north and then back down, shoving cold
Arctic air down here. Or something like that. I think it's supposed to
get above freezing over the next few days, so maybe the snow we have
will melt.

I do love bunnies. There is a bunny living at our new house! I hope he
will
hang around after we move the pooches in. Your bunnies and idea sounds
fabulous. I am looking forward to pics also. Watched my 42 yo sis get
married
for the first time to a wonderful fellow yesterday in Laguna Beach! This is
a
season of miracles. : )
Happy Easter to you too.
Taria, in the so cal high desert where spring has sprung and it is a
gorgeous day!
