Fall Flower Wall Hanging and More
Just finished a small crib quilt top with baby design prints in pinks, greens, yellows and a few baby blues. These were 10 inch blocks which I cut into 5 inch squares, then put an inner border of pink and outer border of pastel yellow.
Now I am working on a wall hanging of fall floral colors in a brown vase, there are 3 main flowers with stems/leaves in three different colors. The flowers are red, gold and black paisly print(which has gold, olive green and orange). Had to enlarge the pattern because it was smaller than what I wanted. If you have Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting, May/June issue year 2012 it is on page 36. The outside border is made up of all the colors in 3 1/2 inch blocks. The corners are two colors and half squares and the rest have three colors in each block. On the inner border I am using the same print as the vase. Hope you all can do this one too. Sandy$ |
