October 25 - quilting?

For children, I am making fleece welly warmers/slippers, for Mark a special cushion that has arms and helps you sit up in bed to read. It is stuffed with all the bits and pieces from the fleece projects.... taking a lot more fleece bits to stuff it than I thought. The cover is almost done (piping - I hate piping!) and that will be a big project out of my sewing room and off the floor. If you want all my left over batting bits for stuffing just holler - I can never bear to throw them away, so they end up in a carrier bag under the spare bed! Lizzy |

I have bought cheap pillows and used the stuffing from those in the past.

What a great idea - have never thought of it (and I usually do think of
practical solutions!) Well done, Sally g .. In message , Sally Swindells writes I have bought cheap pillows and used the stuffing from those in the past. Sally at the Seaside ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~uk http://picasaweb.google.com/SallySeaside -- Best Regards Pat on the Green |

My best buy was from Ikea - pillows from their sale section at £1 each.
I cut them down the middle, seamed down each edge and had two cushion insides. It always amazes me how cheap you can get pillows. When they began putting in a new floor in our foyer, first they took down
the doors to the closets. They say they do it all the time and are rarely surprised at what's inside the closets. Mine is stuffed with cushions and pillows. Never know when I might need one.
