Kitty cat hats
Hi everyone,
I just wondered if anyone knows of a site that has a free Kitty Cat Hat pattern for a child? It was a style of hat very popular for little girls back in the 50's and 60's, and seems to have resurfaced again. I've done a search and only come up with with variations on the hat like this one: http://www.blueskyalpacas.com/patter...atterns_ID=127 But, it's not quite what I'm looking for. My LYS also had a kitty hat, but I didn't like the two seams down the back below the ears. I have a feeling the pattern was in an old Patons leaflet, anyone remember it? thanks, Linda D. in B.C., Canada |

Probably because I was just reading a Knitting Daily post about sweaters for dogs. |

Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone knows of a site that has a free Kitty Cat Hat pattern for a child? snip thanks, Linda D. in B.C., Canada I have looked on www.ravelry.com (if you don't belong - join up, it's great fun and a great resource) and came up with a few: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=61208.0 http://www.knitsnotesetc.com/2007/11...t_with_ca.html You could adjust the sizing by changing the yarn thickness and needle size. You could also just apply the ears from the second example, to your favorite hat pattern. Chris |

I have knitted many of them over the years, and I am almost sure that there is a replica on the net somewhere. Hope you find it. Thanks for the link you posted, BTW. I think that my newest granddaughter will love it. Higs, Katherine |
