Default Block Butler panels?

Has anyone used these? I've just done a bit of reading about them, and
they sound really interesting -- especially for someone like me who has
limited space for a design wall. Comments?

Hi, Sandy, yes, I have Block Butler on my wall right now with lots of
Friendship Star blocks on it winking at me. I bought the big one, then
cut it into four manageable pieces. Love it. It is on vinyl wallpaper
that is old, so I don't mind that it leaves a slightly sticky feel to
the paper when removed. Doesn't change the feel of the blocks applied to
it. When one piece lost some of it's 'grip' I washed it and now it is
OK, so I assume I can wash the wallpaper if I want it clean. But I can't
imagine making quilts without it! If you buy it, make sure to place it
where you'll want it for a looong time. 8^) Nancycog in MD

What is the butler? I needed a design wall so I bought a piece of oilcloth
and taped it to my sewing roomdoor with the felt part on the outside. I
have used it for about six months and it has worked well. Diane

I can't use the door to the room, since it's too small and also doesn't
lie flat against the wall when open. It's sort of weird. g

I think Block Butler is expensive and I didn't like the feel of the sample I
was able to touch in the shop I found that sells it. I find the Pellon fleece I
have tumbtacked to my wall works great as a design wall. It holds blocks and
tops without being sticky.
