I am thinking about making bracelets for my nurses...like you've done. Would you
mind terribly sharing how you made yours, what materials, etc?

Really, really simple. I used Czech pressed beads and Stretch magic (the 1.0
mm size, not the smaller size.) All the bracelets were between 6-8 inches
long, and finished with a surgeon's knot (a square knot with an extra loop
through on the second knot) I'd dab a bit of clear nail polish on the knot,
which would "weld" it together) and let the nail polish dry before snipping
off the losse ends of the stretch magic.

I have trouble tying a surgeon's knot in Stretch Magic. I get it all tied, and
then I pull on the bracelet the other way to lock it down before I glue the
knot, and it slips right out! I'm tying it exactly the way you describe; do you
have any idea why this is happening?

Yep, it's because the Stretch Magic needs some little amount of moisture to
slip properly into the knot. Dab it with the nail polish first before
locking down the knot. Your finished knot will end up smaller, to boot.

Aha! Thank you -- I would never have figured that out on my own, it's
completely non-intuitive.
