Default Trying out some Halloween stuff.

I am (in my mind) so into the idea of making Halloween adornments in
polyclay. Soooooo....Here's what I've done and am doing thus far.

I made a really nifty chrysanthemum cane with black, orange, purple and
green. Then I used slices to cover a heart--it's waiting to be baked. I'm
also in the process of making 4 round beads to go with it. I don't know yet
what the rest of the cane will go towards.

This morning, I measured and cut all the pieces for roses--Halloween Roses!
Black and shimmery orange...yum! I'm trying to figure out how to work some
purple to this combination. Right now the pieces are resting because my hot
little hands literally melts the softer clays after a while, and makes it
impossible to work with.

Is anyone else doing anything Halloween related with their clay? I'd love
to hear all about it!

I put ice in baggies and then keep it in a cooler under my table. When my
hands get too hot I hold the little icepack. Or I will keep it on my work
table and lay the clay on top of the baggie of ice.

If you go to a flooring store you can probably buy a foot square marble
tile. It stays coooooool.
Diana.. not *doing* halloween but anxious to see your stuff

Hi,

I'm not doing anything Halloweeny right now, but have done some fun stuff in
the past. If you just want to check out lots of Halloween-themed polymer stuff
though, check out this page at my site... it's got lots of goodies:

http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/Halloween_etc.htm

(some of the things I've done are discussed there too.)
