Default please help

I'm trying to put one of those adjustor things on the back of a
waistcoat, but I have no idea where to start. Please help.

Is it the type that looks like a belt buckle without a prong? If so I can
help.
Ok take one tie usualy the LH one as you look at the back and loop it around
the middle bar of the "buckle" you need to sew this loop down so that the
"buckle" is permenantly attached to this end either hand sitch or if you can
afford to loose a bit more of the tie pull a bit more through and machine
stitch while being carefull to avoid hitting the "buckle" with your machine
needle! The RH tie goes from under the "buckle" up through, acros the middle
bar , which has been covered by the loop of the LH tie, and then threads
down and out of the otherside of the buckle. Pull to adjust.
I hope you can understand this, it makes sense when I can see it in my mind
but I know what I am trying to describe!
