Default Bernina 153 Quilters Edition

I am really enjoying this new machine. I am so glad I got it now and it is
such an improvement over the old one. I started the new owner classes and got
through 2 prior to the hurricane and now can't seem to organize to get back to
take 3 and 4. Anyone taken these classes and can fill me on what was done in 3
and 4? If I can get the info here I won't haul myself and the machine down to
the shop a long way away from here. It would be a brilliant way to use the
internet in my opinion.
Did you notice that almost all of class 1 and 2 were using the feet they wanted
you to buy extra? They hardly covered what I own ! I even fell for the pintuck
foot ( #10) as I was doing the christening gown right then but now likely will
never use it again. It did make it sweet and fast though !

I didn't take any of the classes, but I still love mine. I bought it last
year when DS was still brand new and didn't manage any of the classes. We
moved since then, and the nearest store charges $50 per class since I didn't
buy the machine from them. My quilts have been turning out fine, so I'm
happy anyways. I do love the knee lift, which I wasn't shopping for at all.
Also, I love being able to do satin stitch and other decorative stitches
without skipping. The only additional foot I picked up was the open
embroidery foot to use with free motion quilting. I use it all of the time.

I have the 153QE and love it! Classes 3 & 4 deals with more feet and
decorative stitches. I have my machine 2 years now and can't really
remember. Class 4 taught buttonholes and specialty stitches and a quick
summary on the Art Link. The manual will give you all you need. Just keep
her clean (every other bobbin change if you are using cotton) and she will
purr for you.
