This auction is for a rare, wonderful, and elaborate Indian Dance Stick.
This large dance stick measures 22 1/2 inches long, and 18 inches wide. The
unique part about this item is that the maker used two deer ribs fastned
with leather to the stick, and fashioned dreamcatcher-like webbing between
the bones and the wood giving the dance stick an unusual, intricate look.
The dance stick was handpainted, and is adorned with leather tassels, brass
trade beads, tin bugels, a chevron, trade cloth, a painted feather, and a
small dream catcher. This is an amzing find from an estate sale of a man who
collected Indian Art and Weapons. I've never seen anything quite like this
before. This item would make a wonderful, prized addition to any Native
American Indian weapon, art, or ceremonial collection.
