I like the way you think. I'm thinking of taking my mother to Macy's for
Mother's Day...she needs stuff and likes to shop; I'd rather gnaw off my
arm than enter the MegaMall, so this trip would be a TRUE from-the-heart

Excellent idea, Cheryl! There is also an organization called Heifer
International ( http://www.heifer.org/ ) that helps poor people raise
animals. You "buy" an animal, they give it to a family, show them how
to raise and care for them and any progeny the family gives to another
needy family. You can also specify that your gift stays in the US if
you so choose.

Our Sunday School has been donating to them for a few years.
