Small drinking glasses
I'm looking for small drinking glasses or vases. Plastic or glass. I want
them bigger than 1/12th scale; maybe 1/2-3/4 inch tall. I'm looking for either a "tumbler" shape \_/ or straight |_| . I've got tiny ones in 1/12th scale, and pretty big ones like for a play tea set, but I haven't been able to find the size I'm after. I've checked wedding and baby charms and stuff at the craft stores and the dollar stores. Any hints? Even ideas for "found" items would be helpful. Thanks --Pat |

I used to use the plastic caps that came on those big square lantern batteries. I forget the voltage. They are 3-4 inches square and used in large flashlights. They usually come with two caps, a red one and a clear/white one that are about half an inch tall. Dawn |

Along Dawn's lines - try a hardware store's "wire nuts". These are
usually colored Red, Black, White, or Orange, but there may be some clear ones available. When you buy non-aerosol style sprays (like hair-spray) they most often come with a clear plastic cover over the sprayer. The one I have in my hand is 1" tall with a very slight taper from the base to a 3/4" open top diameter. I use them even in 1/12 scale for large vases. Depending on whether you intend them in a setting or for actual touching and playing (that is, whether they need to just LOOK ok if you don't look to close or not), Large-diameter drinking straws could be cut to size; clear rubber tubing can be found in appropriate diameters, but the wall thickness might be hard to find; if you don't need quantities all identical, tube caps (like from toothpaste) occasionally make nice vases; - Herb Tapper wrote: I'm looking for small drinking glasses or vases. Nice thought! Thanks. But a bit pricey unless I'm going to just swipe them
from the stores. I'm looking for a few dozen. "Dawn" wrote in message ... I used to use the plastic caps that came on those big square lantern batteries. I forget the voltage.
