All it takes to fit under a bed is motivation....DH told me about when he was in Viet Nam, and the base was hit for the first time. He fully realized that people he didn't even know were trying to kill him -- and rolled off his top bunk slap to the floor and stuffed himself under the bottom bunk, which space was already occupied by the regular occupant of the bottom bunk. And you know what -- they fit. As I say, motivation... Jere " Elizabeth (picturing my 6'5" DH under the bed) Would he even fit under a bed? ROTFLMAO! Cheryl |

Some of those old-fashioned beds where you needed a stepladder to get into them, he might fit quite nicely. He'd fit under a newer bed too. He's quite skinny. Thing is, his feet or his head would have to hang out because he's also quite long. Our exceedingly laid-back cavalier was a great disappointment I think. Carolyn`s grandaughter said "Why does Maggie act so OLD!" Maggie only actually runs if, when she`s out with John, I go to meet them and call her - when she takes off like a bat out of hell, ears flying! I fully expect her to try to accompany me, rifding on my mobility scooter when it arrives. As a matter of fact, there is an elderly couple near here who, when walking their dogs, take turns on the scooter. He rides it one way and she rides it back. Only yesterday we spotted another elderly couple, on identical red scooters, actually having a race! Pat P |

Agreed - I'm 6 ft 4 ins tall (should be two feet taller according to my weight) and always have to sleep diagonally even in a double bed otherwise my feet get cold! -- Bruce Fletcher ricardianATbtinternetDOTcom Stronsay, Orkney www.stronsay.co.uk/claremont |

He had a bed and bedding specially made in the end (there`s a local firm that does that). Expensive, though! The main trouble is fitting a NORMAL sized bed in most modern houses, though - let alone an oversized one. He`s just grateful that he`s not as tall as the Suffolk Giant from a nearby village. He was 7 ft 7" and his younger brother was only an inch shorter. http://www.suffolkchurches.co.uk/newbourn.htm John Waller, the Vicar mentioned on the website, who is a real character, has been a great friend of ours for about 30 years. He told us that one of his ancestors was hanged for piracy! It wouldn`t surprise me in the least! I worked with a chap at BT who is 7 ft 2". Pat P Pat P |
