Have an ALCO A709-5 that is 30 years old made countless quilts,
clothing, drapes, curtains, etc, and it is still going strong. Just
doesn't do buttonholes very well. Sometimes, when I'm sewing the 'clutch
slips' and teh bobbin winder goes off on a tangent..DS tighten it with a
'screwdriver' so now when I need to wind a bobbin I have to untighten
it--do the bobbins--retighten it and off I go : ) I call it Ole Fateful.

Butterfly,
Would you happen to have a manual for the A709? Thanks.

Default Necchi Alco Sewing Machine

Sorry, we donated it just before we moved to AZ. Too bad I didn't know you
were looking for it.

Can you send me pixs of it--I might be able to help you --show where the
threads 'might' go thru (full frontal, and whole machine showing needle, and
top) and I'll try to jog the memory of how I threaded mine.

Butterfly...thanks for your response. I'm very eager to use the
machine, but don't have any instructions for it. I'll sit down to try
to figure out the threading diagram and how to wind the bobbin sometime
soon. Thanks. again.
