Art Fair Advice
I'm a newbie to the art fair scene and am looking for advice. I have a
copy of "The Michigan Crafter Magazine". Now I just need figure out which shows to choose, how many should I apply to, where to find display units, should I accept credit cards, if so can I get the best deal, etc. Any advice you could share with me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! RJ |

A lot of info needed here .... Yes you should be able to take cards as 80% of my Biz at outdoors festivals is paid by either debit/credit cards. If you do this as a biz and don't take cards your a "kitchen table artist" Just my $.02 Mark "Rebecca Thomas" wrote in message ... I'm a newbie to the art fair scene and am looking for advice. Get copies of Sunshine Artist and Crafts Report. Read them. They'll get you started. Lots of advertisers for display equipment for shows, etc. And get very, very good slides made of your best pieces. Use someone who knows how to do jury slides or you will waste a lot of money very quickly. Barbara Dream Master www.dreamweaverstudio.com If you want to make God laugh, tell him your future plans. How much should I expect to pay for jury slides? Assume I'm having 5 items photographed. Can anyone recommend a jewelry photographer for jury slides? Regards, Ed Ferguson |

But you should be able to get them done for about 200.00. There are several listed in the back of Crafts Report. I like Larry Sanders work in Milwaukee (I mail the stuff up there). 1-877-sanders Barbara Dream Master www.dreamweaverstudio.com If you want to make God laugh, tell him your future plans.
