Default Look at how cool you guys are!

Hi everybody!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and well...just really
busy, as I'm sure you can understand. I just wanted to take time to
tell all of you that you guys are the sweetest, most thoughtful people I
think I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, both on and off line. I pray
that God blesses you each and every day!

I got your virtual shower package, and I'm so tickled that you all took the
time to knit and send things for Lainie! It makes me kind of embarassed
that it's been taking me so long to finish the blanket I've been working on
(officially dubbed at the Afghan of Biblical Proportions).

Anyway, I have pictures (a large one and a small one) of all the stuff you
compiled on my website, so come and take a look of what you all have done!
www.allaya.com

Thank you all so much once again...you'll see me around soon. Now I have to
go and design some pirate costumes. YARRRRR!

Allaya I have been thinking of you, and it is good to hear from you

Take it easy and slow down, if your pregnancy is not doing that for you
already......(smile)

Allaya,
It was good to hear from you. I was worried about you. You certainly
are keeping busy! Here's a suggestion from a mother of 3....get some rest
NOW! After the baby comes, you will have precious little time for yourself.
Enjoy our gifts of love....

I'm trying, Els, but it's been hard. DH has new hours at work that are
rediculously early IMO, and I haven't been able to get much rest because of
it...I'm easily awakened, and he has to blast his alarm for at least an hour
before he can wake up. :P

Otherwise, everything has been going just fine! The baby has stopped
kicking and has begun stretching instead, so my belly is in all sorts of
strange shapes lately. It's even gotten my OB intreagued. Right now
though, I just want her out! I think she's getting too cramped in
there...she feels like a tall baby.

Does she get hiccups too? My bump keeps bouncing rhythmically for ten
minutes at a time- the midwife told me it was hiccups at my last check-up-
she had them when we listened on the sonicaid. And isn't it lovely when they
pogo on your bladder? Lots of practice for night feeds, all this getting up
every three hours throughout the night! I've got another eight weeks to go,
and it feels like forever! When are you due?

Yes, I think she's had the hiccups at least twice now...once a few months
ago, and once last night. Every now and then she steps on my bladder, but
more often than not, she wedges some limb on my lower right quadrant...where
I imagine my appendix is, which is a very strange feeling! I guess I'm
lucky in that I don't feel the need to wake up multiple times during the
night...however, she does press up against my stomach, so I can only eat a
few bites of food at a time before my stomach gets "full." The problem is,
I'm still hungry and have to wait a while in order to eat some more!

Next week, I will be in my 8th month. My, this time flew by (albeit the
first three months were spent mostly in bed)! I'm getting kind of nervous!

Els --

I wish the alarm clock was "training" for the baby, but I'm afraid my
husband has had this little quirk since he was in high school (nice that he
neglected to tell me before we got married, eh? ). If you can believe
it, he's actually improved a lot...he used to have three different alarm
clocks and have all three of them go off intermittently for TWO hours before
his "official" wake-up time. *cringe* But I suppose I could look at it as
"training..." hehehe

Allaya you are coming to the best time in your life.... at least that is
how it was for me. Look at the baby's birth as an adventure....I sure
found it so. (three times.....grin) Don't listen to much to all the
advice people will give you....free of charge...Ha, ha...go with your gut
feelings and you will do just fine...tired and all.

Thinking of you

My DS came out with purple feet - he kept kicking up towards my liver, and they
kind of got stuck a few days before he was born - nothing I did could dislodge
them. He was fine - now 13 months, and my DD 2 1/2! It goes by so fast... And
we're *still* sleep-deprived. [-o

We must be due around the same time - my EDD is the 20th of November
(although she is bound to be late, no baby in our family has ever turned up
on time. It must be genetic as we are all late for everything!) I know what
you mean about the full stomach- can't fit any more in yet I still feel like
I could eat a horse and go back for the rider! Mine gives me heartburn too
so many of the foods I *really* fancy are just impossible to eat right now -
like fresh bread. Sigh. How I miss freshly baked bread.

Being woken by alarum clocks sounds like a pain but it could be worse - my
chap can't sleep without wearing earplugs - he claims to be a very light
sleeper. Trouble is, with the earplugs in he doesn't hear his alarum clock,
or mine, or (funnily enough) the baby... I think we'll put the cot on his
side of the bed this time! I'd give just about anything to sleep through the
entire night- No sooner did we get Number 2 to sleep through the night than
the pregnancy for Number 3 meant that I was waking up often anyway!
