Default Cloth Dolls

I borrowed a book from my public library titled "Creative Cloth Doll
Making" by Patti Medaris Culea. I used pattern #1 from her book and so
far have made two dolls. I just love this doll pattern for a doll that
has long, shapely legs that are designed to make the doll sit nicely.
There were many wonderful examples made from this pattern as well as
others that were made by various doll artists.

I made my dolls out of muslin and dyed the body, arms & legs and painted
the face, neck and hands with fabric paint.
I sewed the first doll's costume out of silk which I had also dyed. I'm
having so much enjoyment out of this pattern & have laid out three more
dolls to sew.

I highly recommend the book to other cloth doll makers and I am
definitely asking for my own copy of the book for Christmas!

Remarks from other doll makers???

That is a really good book. See if they can get "Sewing & Sculpting Dolls"
by Eloise Piper. I liked it even better. They should be able to get it
from another library in your state, if they don't have it.
