quiltchat is really busy, but at times they can be a little...stern.

I'm on two Yahoo groups, but I really don't have the time to get too
involved with chat rooms. I barely get enough time to read everything on
the RCTQ newsgroup.

off on a tirade, sorry but i'm still ****ed off over this, how dare
they!!!!!

a little stern???
oh boy is that the understatement of the millenium.
they booted me for reasons that made little sense to me.

didnt like my last name for one, nor me using it as a joke around halloween
in middle of the USA night cuz it 'might' offend some of the chatters there
who have 'i guess' higher morals than the rest of the world..or was that
mind in the gutter. hardly anyone in there when i did it and the op then was
doing the same silly nicknames.
also accused me of cheating on their games cuz i won too often. i dont cheat
at games, whats the point?
said i used some program to figure out the block names, i did not do it.
i have spent the past nearly 30yrs doing the daily cryptic crosswords which
has heaps of anagrams and those helped me unscramble the block names. as i
was newish to quilting didnt even know block names well at all. just got
lucky on most of them. tho winning 3 out of 4 weeks consistently with the FQ
as a prize must of been too expensive for them. wasnt my idea to have those
prizes, eh.
i also refused to become an op cuz i dont use a title and they said i had to
pick a time slot and use 'op' after my name. how can i pick a time slot when
i was on call from dh then. going out the door at a moments notice.
maybe i am just the worst person in the world.
that was my first ever chat/quilting site i was regular too as i'd only been
online about two months when i found them. i also spent heaps and heaps of
time there helping others to download, install, connect, use and make new
things in MIRC. grrrrrrrrrr.
also sent blocks for two hug quilts that never got made into quilts and one
of the recipients has since died. she was the very first person i connected
with online too. i never understood what happened to those blocks. i think
they were taken by someone who really had no morals or ethics.
still not amused and that happened back in nov 2000.

I was trying to be nice. They didn't much like me either, I was a bit
rowdy and raunchy at times, too much for them, I guess!

Totally off the topic of this chat room - but your mention of using
your last name on halloween...

my brother always wanted (jokingly) to name his daughter Mame
(pronounced Mayme...like mutillate) last name Kilburn

Making her name Mame Kill burn lol ---- he's had a daughter and her
name is rose

I belong to a couple through Yahoo that I don't post or read from.

One Day Quilt Frenzy, Redwork, and Crazy Quilters.

I don't have time to read them all though, so I stick to RCTQ,
rec.crafts.beads, rec.crafts.textiles.yarn, and my worldnet groups.

First I had to find my directory to see what in the world was so offensive
about jeanne's last name. Ah me. If their delicate sensibilities were
offended, that's a hoot. Just unbelievable. Back to the question, if
things are just terribly quiet here (it happens, maybe three times a year),
I go over to rct sewing to see if they're into anything interesting. They
are a very nice bunch. Polly
