Wow she looks good. Don't stop posting what you do. That's part of the
excitement!

Thanks, you are all very nice . I have made a second attempt, I like
some things about this one more. It looks a lot better in real life,
the scanner distorts the face some and doesn't pick up the colors well.
She's gold/ecru mix base and has green, gold and copper hilights.

I also made a faux beetle. I wanted to make it a vessel but I wasn't
quite up to that yet, he's just a pendant.

I'll try to restrain myself from posting everything I do ;-) I'm just
still all excited when something works out.

Made my first bead, since I started playing with clay again. The shape
is from a mold and she's got metallic powders, antiqued and a wee bit
of glitter on the tail surface. What do you think?

It's lovely! Did you also create the mold?

Not for the mermaid but I did modify it. The original mold has her on
an oval background like a cabochon. I trimmed it and the molded clay
down to make her stand alone. I made the mold for the beetle bead from
pert of a metal stamping. I have some plans for making that a better
design.

Ingrid

Did you also create the mold?
