Thanks, Stitchbug.
They are the ugliest things I've ever seen! HAS to be the yarn used and a
terrible photo, but I saved it.

Oh, nice! I have added it to my favourites, and will definitely make them.
Thanks for showing us this pattern.

Yes, the ARE cute, but I realy understand what you say about the ankels.
But I found another pattern. I do not think they are so cute, but thei seems
comfortable,
thy are not so tight around the ankle or elsewhere.
That is the worst thing to me, I am freesing too!

I started these last night, but am stymied by this instruction: "sc
next two sts together" (in step #11). How on earth do you sc two sts
together, when you're working flat, in a row of sc?? Expert crocheters
out there, help!

Instead of putting the hook through one stitch and making a SC, put it
throught two stitches and make a SC. No different from a K2tog
decrease in knitting...

Spampot,
It's just like a K2tog decrease in knitting. Put your hook and two stitches
and sc one.

I done it this way too: pull up a loop in each of the next two stitches,
then yo and pull it through all 3 loops on your hook. Works fine that way
too.

Aha! Thanks, Jenn! I'm afraid Slinky's & Noreen's explanations didn't
help any...must be my fuzzy brain. But I understand this now.
