I done it this way too: pull up a loop in each of the next two stitches,
then yo and pull it through all 3 loops on your hook. Works fine that way
too.

Jenn

Jenn, you're absolutely right, I just tried it to make sure!
Isn't this the BEST group?

I think that when they say to crochet two stitches together they mean to
insert your hook in one stitch, draw up a loop then insert your hook in the
next stitch and draw up a loop and make the single crochet. This way you
decrease by one stitch.

Hope this helps,
Cori

Thanks, Cori, that does work. I'm thinking of e-mailing the designer,
though, because it's not spelled out quite clearly whether or not one
ought to sc through the back loop only at all times. I think so, but
I'd rather have it clarified (and so, I'm sure, would other novices).

Will let you all know how this thing turns out.

I'm attempting some socks and the way they have me doing it is through the
back loops only for the ribbing part. Right now the ribbing looks real
small and I don't know if the sock will fit or not but I can make one and
find out I guess. They only had me chain 11 stitches for the first row.

Hugs,
Cori
