Default I went to an Amish Auction

My hubby and I just wondered upon an Amish Auction that was going on. There
were very few common people there. They had lots of quilts for sale. New,
old, toppers, baby size, and wall hangings one right after another. I bought
a new wall hanging that is all hand sewn. The pattern is Sunshine and
Shadows it is in greens and purples and whites. I paid $20.00 for it. What a
buy. Then my best buy is a topper that is a double wedding ring from the
1930's. It is all had sewn it fits my queen bed. I am looking for someone to
hand quilt it. I found someone who is willing to put the binding on it The
binding is tricky because it is a scallop then a point. But, again I only
paid twenty dollars for it. There was a couple of blood marks on it I used
peroxide then covered all of it but the spot and put it in the sun. The
blood spots came right out.
It is really a great piece. We had a wonderful day there. I also never saw
so many wringer washers in one place , they were being auctioned off too.

Sounds like you did well. The blood is a bit worrying though ) At
least it came out!
