Default PMC is it worth it

I work with silver jewellery and gems of varying types already but I
was just curious what everyone thinks of PMC... how hard it is to use?
what are the benefits? is the result worth the time and price.

I have never used the pmc, the price of the pmc vs silver casting
grain is simply to large for my preferences. I do wax carving and
lost wax casting, the wax gives me a medium very similar to the pmc,
and a lot cheaper per oz.
