Nope, Taria. You are 30 days late. The Canadian geese arrived from their
summer in the great north yesterday and quite a raucous gang they are. The
Christmas catalogs for gifts came in today. The younger generation in this
family begin Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. SO. Nay. NOT 4 months.

The Christmas wrap was out in the dollar store last night. Along with
Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff.

We are well above average temperatures so seeing something to remind
you of the fall and wionter seasons does a good job psychologically.

Did you see the moon last night? As it came up it looked like an Autumn
moon from here. WooHoo. If there air goes out at the courthouse they better
have a back up plan if it has been half as hot there as here or at least
medical help for people as they go down. It was miserable here yesterday.
When it is 108 and you walk out the door and it 'smells like Florida' that
is a bad combination. Hopefully the fires will not be too bad today. Lots
of little stuff yesterday all over.

Gosh j, I don't really have a point. I'm sorry you can't
find a reason to care any more. It is there you just have to dig to find
that place. I don't know how folks do it
but many do. My wish for you is that you can. We all care about you here
and hope you can remember how to care for yourself and those left that do
love you dearly soon.
Hugs, Taria

Oh, year, the moon has been gorgeous. On moonrise there was just
enough "gunk" in the air to turn it a real pretty color!

Our courtroom is basically a civil courtroom [people suing people],
but when we are "open" [no trials going on, just our everyday morning
calendar], we are often tapped to do criminal proceedings. Right now
we are in between trials - one finished yesterday afternoon, next one
starts Tues morning. So this morning we were tapped for criminal
hearings. Just as we started, there was a hiccup in the building power
generator. I don't know if it was the power company grabbing juice or
what, but our lights flickered, dimmed, and a loud noise from the roof
right above us had us scrambling. My bailiff moved over to the in-
custody deft to keep him secure in case we went lights out. All I was
trying to do then was save the screens on my four different software
systems up We lost the a/c for several hours, but I had a small
fan.

I think the 'point' was a reminder to those of us who celebrate Christmas
that if we had something to be stitched that we'd better get going. Last
Christmas, some of our loved ones just happened to mention that they surely
would love to have tree skirts. I finished one in January. I've piled my
Christmas fabrics out on the cutting table. That's a start. Polly
