Default Help with decreasing

I'm new to machine knitting and was wondering if there is a way to decrease in the middle of a row as oppsed to just on the sides. Can anyone help me with this. Pretty please

You can do it with a garter bar. You put the stitch you want to
decrease onto the next needle, leaving one needle empty. Then remove
all the stitches to the left (or right) of that double stitch onto the
garter bar, move over one needle, then transfer the stitches from the
garter bar onto the needles, filling the empty one and moving everything
over one stitch.

Barbara,
If you don't have a garter bar, the same thing can be done with a
three-prong tool, it just takes longer.

Barbara,
If you don't have a garter bar, the same thing can be done with a
three-prong tool, it just takes longer.

And if you have a number of stitches to decrease across the piece, you
can do a row of ravel cord, then a few rows of waste yarn, and rehang
the work, decreasing as you go.
