OT Studio baby steps
So now that I know that I'm not moving to Atlanta I decided I need to get on
with setting up my lampworking stuff properly I bought and awesome stainless steel table around Christmas and after holidays, travel, new relationship, end of relationship, travel, I just finished getting it put together. It's very cool but a little high. The top is totally stainless steel and it has a shelf on the bottom. I got it at Sam's club. My AIM kiln is in and is downstairs - but not set up yet. I found I do have an appropriate outlet (yay- since this is a rental house that could have been a real problem). I need to do some major moving around of stuff in the basement (old doors, railing, other crap that really is my landlady's etc) to get it's place ready. I had a dream about glass last night - I had bunches and bunches - all types - types I don't even have a torch that would melt, and I was arranging the glass getting ready to take it somewhere. Then all of the sudden people were there telling me it was time to go (escape) and were helping me carry the glass. So hopefully very soon I can get back at it AND be able to anneal my beads! Ok, I'm ashamed..I had no clue you even made beads. Now I wanna see!!!!!!!!! ~Candace~ |

Kathy -- good luck with it, and may your dreams NOT come true! LOL
I had a really bad dream about the man I left in Ohio, night before last. Took me all day to shake it. It reminded me again, however, that I am glad I am not around him anymore. Oooh, you have the same table I have... :-) Works great, but I also
have to figure out what to do about the height - the stool I'm using right now is too high, and I end up all slouched over. Don't know about sawing off the legs - they are metal also- and I don't;
have anything to cut them with I'm picking up some good tall bar stools this weekend - wuth a back so that might work. I'll let ya know as the progress continues. Oh - I haven't made any beads since you started posting. I took a class last summer then a worskhop with Tink in the fall, then was waiting on the kiln, then waitng to get someone to move the kiln downstairs, yada yada yada. But it seems that things (and me) are coming together finally. Kathy K |

Thanks!
Actually I saw the dream as good sign - the glass was coming with me! Maybe it was foreshadowing Kathy K "BeckiBead" wrote in message ... I'm picking up some good tall bar stools this weekend - wuth a back so that
might work. And if they're too tall, you can more easily saw their legs off a bit (usually they're wood). ~~ Sooz ------- "Those in the cheaper seats clap. The rest of you rattle your jewelry." oh I can't wait to see something of yours, Kathy.
And yeah, it would be loads easier to get high stools than to saw the table legs down.
