I get it!
Okay, I wanted to keep this to myself because I was embarrassed but I can't.
I ordered a bead making video just to help me with my newbie experiences. It makes so much sense on the techniques I was doing wrong that I GET IT NOW. Yippee! I just finished some lovely beads and will be putting them into the kiln later to anneal. I'm so happy I did a jig. snicker Starlia |

Starlia,
What video did you order? I'd like to get one that comes recommended. Thanks, Gennie www.heartstrungbeads.com "saucy" wrote in message ... Cool! Just so you know - beads should go directly into the kiln, as you
make them. -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net Okay, I wanted to keep this to myself because I was embarrassed but I can't. Not a whole lot if the kiln is efficient. We have noticed only a small
($5-$10 per month) increase in our average power bill. -- Kandice Seeber Air & Earth Designs http://www.lampwork.net ]Cool! Kandice - just out of curiosity, since i don't make beads, i only buy them . . . have you ever figured out how much in electricity it costs to run a kiln? a little? a lot? ----------- @vicki [SnuggleWench] (Books) http://www.booksnbytes.com (Jewelry) http://www.vickijean.com ----------- The Bill of Rights - Void where prohibited by Law. Is there a reason you aren't putting your beads directly into the kiln
rather than annealing later? Susan W "saucy" wrote in message ... Okay, I wanted to keep this to myself because I was embarrassed but I can't. We figured about 25 cents a day.

Susan W wow!!! Thar's very reasonlble--I thought it would be much more! That (and a fear of burning down the house) has kept me from investigating glass further...like I NEED a new media to suck my brain away!! But I do have a friend that's interested in learning...and she said she'd take me with to class just to have company.....so I may be doing some info-scouring soon!! Yes, I think there are things you just have to get as a *whole kenetic
process*, rather than illustrative snapshots or illustrations. Glad you had a breakthrough. But why on earth would you be embarrassed to say you used a video to get there? Do you feel like 'real' lampworkers are just -born- knowing what to do?
