Default New Poly "Artist"

Hello to Everyone!

I have just (in the past two weeks) discovered the art of polymer clay and
have been playing like mad. Now, it is time for me to settle down and get
to work making some real pieces, at least I hope.

My main interest thusfar is in jewelry. Yesterday, I tried my first attempt
with the translucent, and built a project that is on the Sculpey website,
the Celtic Necklace. It took a long time but, overall everything was
looking great. Well, I FORGOT that the translucent needs the lower temp to
cook (I have calibrated my toaster oven that I am using) and I burnt
it...not too bad, but it's burnt so that it is dark.

Is there a way to rescue the pieces--or will they eventually crumble due to
not having been baked properly?

I thank you all so much for the emails that I've been reading. It's a
great, great hobby and so very relaxing!!!

Kim

Welcome, Kim.

I don't know the answer to your questions, but would love to see the end
result, regardless.

Nurturing doesn't end at birth: breastfeed, co-sleep, babywear.

There is a very fine line between a hobby and mental illness.
