I prefer "cozy". Books and stash are great insulation! :-)

LOL cats don't need much space ;-)

It's such a pity that they are so fussy about the space they will use.
There is always a queue to sleep on top of the nightstore heater or
right in front of the fire.

My Mom has a cat and everytime I visit the Cat lays on my knitting bagG

I too collect books and have just
started expanding the Knitting area of a already full bookcase.

DH declared that the space on the floor under the coffee table did not
count as legitimate book/pattern storage space and made me shift
everything from there. He's arranged a good sized filing cabinet so I
can start to store my vintage patterns in a more organised manner but
that task seems a bit overwhelming at present. And he doesn't help -
he gave me four books for my birthday this year.

Filing cabs are a great idea.....just think of all the forgotten patterns
you may find, or think of it as hunting for treasures....that helps me ;-)

The newest one; the one that I have not yet read.

I just spent the last two weeks traveling with Macgregor's book on Fair Isle
Knitting, and it was time well spent, with a ball of DK red in one pocket ,
a ball of blue in another pocket and a set of 8" # 1 bamboo DPN in between.
But, that was then, and I will need another book for the next trip.

Good knitting books? I was talking to a book dealer about them. Cookbooks
come on the market, knitting books do not. Find an old knitter that has the
books that you want and do some thing really nice for her, and maybe, just
maybe she will give them to you! It is the only way to get the good old
books.

One! Just One! How cruel.

Probably a stitch dictionary then. Mary Thomas's Book of Knitting
Patterns lives on my bedside table most of the time.
