First let me say that I have yet to see an Emie Bishop design that I
didn't think was lovely. OK -- now here comes a pet peeve rant. HOW
can anyone tell how the design really looks? I mean, there's no way to
make the pic any larger, at least not from the posted link! Sue -- were
you able to get a larger pic of the design from your newsletter? I'm
wondering if it's a problem with posting a link to a newsletter that you
received......??? I want to see a large photo of the design! Thanks for
the tantalizing peek of the new offering. I'll have to look for it next
time I make the trek to my not so LNS. CiaoMeow ^;;^

Well, from what I can see, I like. Ever since I saw Elizabeth's EB charts,
I've been itching in try one. Not that I have the time, but still.

You should try her Unfinished Sampler - it's narrow and absolutely
ideal for carrying to a rink. All the threads will fit into a small
tupperware, it couldn't be more portable if it tried.

I've seen that - and you're right. My only concern for carrying it (or any
project around) is lighting issues. If I'm in a hoop, I can use my clip
light, if I can figure out who borrowed it (DS,DD or DH). It doesn't work
with Q-snaps.

If I'm just sitting in the car at lacrosse, I can stitch with the windows
open. To sit fully in the sun in chair is worthless - too much wind.

I did the Unfinished Sampler and so did a friend and neither of us
used a frame of any kind, definitely hold-in-the-hand which is what
made it so portable.

Good to know.

Thanks

I share your pain - no, I couldn't see it larger, just put my nose right
up against the screen and assumed a lot based on knowledge of past
charts. Did you see the second photo with the bellpull and ornament? You
can see a little more of the detail there. The Home page shot is truly
underwhelming, because all you can see is blobs of green and red, and
some very slight evidence of whitework, but no detail at all.

The picture as a whole doesn't appeal to me so much, but the individual
squares, as ornaments or differently arranged, as on the bellpull, I
find enticing.

Maybe it will show up a bit larger in the www.hoffmandis.com weekly
listing tomorrow. (fingers crossed for luck.)

Sue

Nice. LOL - as I've recently been looking at the couple of Emie pieces
which I have kitted up, and the chart I found that isn't yet kiteed. Maybe
in 2010!

Let's hope so. Anne is likely correct in her comment that the pics
provided are small to discourage anyone from copying it and then working
from that copy! THOSE types are NOT true stitchers -- they just don't
"get it" IMNSHO!!! I want to have an original chart in my hot little
hands when I start a new project. I like having all the other info &
tips, etc. that are usually included. I'll have to check Hoffman soon
and see if they offer a photo that is a bit larger.
