Great ideas..and reasons to buy a few more buttons! My employer buys the
nicest buttons I've ever seen. I sold some to a lady yesterday that were faceted black glass with gilded edges. I hope there are some left tomorrow, we're allowed to make our staff purchases first thing in the morning, so I couldn't buy any yesterday, but will snatch them off the shelf first thing tomorrow! 'The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen' "Christina Peterson" wrote in message news:1076959270.712497@prawn... They are great with beads. As focals, as accents, and as clasps. Or is it one of those addictions where you just hoard them and fondle them periodically? ;o) Beki http://www.whimbeads.com |

*chortle* Quite a variety. The ones I bought yesterday were a leaf shaped,
pewter coloured metal, with brown matte enamelling. I like metal, glass I even like some of the plastic ones if they are an unusual shape, colour, texture. Shank buttons seem to draw me the most..no holes to interfere with the design and I can see a meriad of uses for them in conjunction with beaded jewelry. "Dr. Sooz" wrote in message ... Not a advertisement plug, I am really interested. lol Yes, "they" do-- carved paua flowers, paua and MOP mosaic disks, triangles with a black "slash" accross them. All with two holes. another of my favorite button things to do is make molds with them, then make
beads from the molds using polymer clay. There's an article about it in the current Belle Armoire magazine. Sarajane Sarajane's Polymer Clay Gallery http://www.polyclay.com |

I like making molds and making silver (PMC) buttons from them.
