Default Sun Prarie Wi Quilt Show

Monday I went with a group of quilting friends to the Sun Prarie Quilt
Show....Lots of wonderful things to see....click below to see some I took
pictures of, it was very crowded and the one big drawback was the lighting,
didn't show off some of the quilts to their best advantage and they were
really crowded into a small space.
Otherwise there were some fantastic things...the sun quilt was definitely
the best in my mind, all raw edge applique, and very large. There was a
Birch Woods Landscape by Natalie Sewell that was GREAT, and a porch
landscape quilt by Nancy Zieman that was wonderful.... Traditional Baltimore
Album style quilts were few to none...only one blooming nine patch,
Convergence quilts were all over, in the show , in the vendors booths, and
in the shops.
I bought my favorites---2 new border prints and I found a background fabric
I have been looking for for years!!!!There was a boooth with lots of hand
dyed wools and silks, I resisted. But I did see the Janome 6500 on display
I have to look into trading up!
I also bought 2 patterns ....yellow brick road that you all have talked so
much about, and a Bible scenes applique quilt that will be perfect for a
gift to the church where we meet.
The Sun Prarie Guild served a nice lunch on the premises so it was a
wonderful one stop show, with 4 quilt shops within minutes from the show...
The photos are not great the show was VERY CROWDED and Very Dark....Did I
say that already?
But fun to be with friends and we had a newcomer to quilts with us...I think
I infected her.
