I have my first ruler from 1st grade also! It's a Senco #704. A bit
chipped on the corners, still measures - but only 1/4" widths. The nuns used rulers for more than measuring, however. I also have my slide rule from high school and college - the equivalent of a non-electronic calculator! I guess that's why I married an engineer! Of course, the engineer thinks I'm too much of a pack rat. As I scan my office/sewing/craft room, I think he is correct. -- Alice in NJ, Royal Cybrarian http://www.ourcyberfamily.us/ "Just about the time a woman thinks her work is done, she becomes a grandmother." Well, your DH would probably be happier if you cleared out some
clutter. So, if it would help your marriage, I would be glad to take some quilts, fabric, and books off your hands. Don't thank me, as the song ungrammatically says: "that's what friends are for!"
